[[Oliver]] and I ate here years ago, and I returned for a bowl of rice and vegetables as a late-afternoon snack. The cold barley tea is refreshing.
Supper with [[Morgan]], [[Til]] and [[Bill Whelan]]. Morgan ordered, and excellent food just kept coming. Recommended.

Lunch with Igor. They do a nice bibimbab. Iced citron tea was particularly good. Service like molasses.

I first visited this vegetarian burger joint in 2010 with [[Oliver]]; we were joined by Don Stewart and his son Sam and by Matthew Richard, who were all in Berlin by coincidence. I returned on a solo trip in 2016 when I was staying nearby. Staff are friendly, vibe is nice, and they do a creditable job of turning out burgers without using meat.

Outside of El Paso, my favourite place for Mexican food. Three tacos (fish if they’re serving, chicken otherwise) and beer are a divine meal. My friend [[Morgan]] turned me on to the place, and he and I have been back several times together. Eat outside on the street if you can (it gets hot inside!).

The coffee is unsatisfying, the sandwiches cardboard-like, but this is my go-to place for waiting for flights in Copenhagen Airport because it’s so decidedly un-airport-like. There are comfortable chairs, free wifi (from the airport), loud music, lots of activity. Just past security and duty-free in Terminal 3 on the right. Crazy-confusing ordering system that involves a lot of yelling, so the onboarding is stressful, but afterwards you can peacefully wile away the hours.

The café was very close to my Airbnb flat when I visited Malmö in 2013 for Alibis for Interaction. I returned in 2016. From a tiny, perfect room they serve good coffee and pastries. There is a garden across the street in the spring and summer. It’s the kind of coffee shop that everyone would like next door to their house.
