It’s rare to find a place that interprets tacos so inventively, so we were happy to stumble across Burro right next door to our new favourite coffee place in Burlington.
Burro doesn’t sell tacos in the “Olde El Paso” style–shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese–but rather more simple concoctions with fewer ingredients. I had the spicy brussels sprout; Catherine and Oliver shared the chipotle sweet potato and the jerk pork; all were very good.
At The Cannon in East Hamilton. Great coffee. Very good waffles.
An unexpected find en route to Hopewell Rocks. Cappuccino and iced tea were both excellent.

Excellent bagels with a variety of toppings. My favorite is a salt bagel toasted with tomato and swiss cheese. Don’t drink the espresso.

I tumbled across this outlet of the London sourdough pizza chain while searching for supper on Earl’s Court Road. The vegetarian pizza was excellent. Espresso afterwards was one of the best coffees of the trip. Top-flight friendly service, unusual, in my experience, when dining along.

My last supper in London. Chosen because it was (a) open on a Sunday evening and (b) near my hotel. They made me a good vegetarian donburi, washed down with a glass of red wine.

Decent food (a nice bowl of oatmeal with blueberries) and acceptable coffee, I chose this restaurant at Heathrow primarily because it has comfortable, well-lit tables with electric outlets for charging. When you enter the departures area from security, you’ll find the restaurant one floor down near the base of the escalator.

Very good Mexican food in Kreuzberg. The fish tacos are my favourite.
