Starting in 2006, when my son Oliver was 6 years old, we’ve been recording podcasts together. We came up with the name “The Peter and Oliver Podcast” on the spur of the moment, and it stuck.
Almost all of these are recorded in the field, using whatever phone I happened to have with me at the time with an audio recording app; as such, the quality varies widely.
A previously-unreleased episode recorded on October 1, 2020, Oliver’s 20th birthday. Earlier in the day he’d received a negative COVID-19 test.
Recorded eight days ago (8 months in quarantine years) on the Charlottetown waterfront at the end of a drive in the countryside on a sunny Sunday.
The final event of Oliver’s Birthday Season, a trip to Wolfville to bear witness to a live taping of Laurie Brown’s Pondercast podcast.
So, of course, we recorded a podcast while waiting for the show to start.
We are heading home, and recorded a quick podcast here in Schiphol Airport after going through security.
