Changes from 2014:

  • No levee at Engineers PEI this year; they’re taking the year off.
  • Premier’s levee ends at 4:30 p.m. instead of 5:00 p.m.
  • Royal Canadian Legion levee runs to 6:00 p.m. this year, and includes entertainment from “Incognito”.
  • No levee at Trinity-Clifton United Church this year: it was a one-time-only levee last year to celebrate their anniversary.
  • No levee at the The Caledonian Club of PEI this year; they hope to return in 2016.
  • Added a new levee at The Guild
  • Important late change: Premier Ghiz’s levee will be held at Province House, not Confederation Centre of the Arts as it usually is. It will be the last official event at Province House before construction begins
  • Polar Bear Swim moves a half hour earlier: now starts at 10:00 a.m.

Every year I look forward to your levee posts. I have no idea if I will ever be able to attend a levee in Charlottetown but somehow, having read your accounts for something like a quarter of my life, they have become intimately associated with the holiday season and the turning of the year.

This is a wonderful list! I only found out about it because it was cited in the province's email press release about the Lt Gov's levee.

I've sent this site link to the International Office at UPEI, because many intl students don't go home and are stuck with not much to do while the university is closed.

I was wondering if there is going to be a Levee at the Charlottetown Fire Hall, it is usually after 6:00 but I don't see it on the list.

I’m not sure. I’ve heard rumours over the years, but have never been able to get confirmation, either that it happens or, if it does happen, whether members of the public are invited. I’d be happy to add it if someone can point the way.

this list is wonderful - wish I'd known of it before! Do you mean the site of Premier McLaughlin's Levee has changed to Province House?
