How to stop paying Canadian taxes

Peter Rukavina

Escaping Canada, by Robert Hof, is a quick summary of what it takes to stop being “Canadian” as far as paying taxes is concerned. Pointer, indirectly, from Daniel.

As long as escapees are not planning to go somewhere to get old and then return this is a moral choice. Those who avoid reasonable* Canadian taxes but return to reap the benefits of citizenship are not pulling their weight. If it’s pre-meditated and calculated, it’s stealing (from the poor, btw).

*Canadian taxes are high but so is our standard of living. Simply *not* living in the US is worth a few thousand a year.
