The Ballad of Jack and Rose

Peter Rukavina

Rebecca Miller and Daniel Day-Lewis from the film The Ballad of Jack and Rose (formerly known as “Rose and the Snake”), which was filmed a couple of years ago on Prince Edward Island’s north shore, are guests on Charlie Rose today.

The Island stands in for a “secluded Pacific Northwest island commune” in the film. Apple has the trailer in QuickTime.

That’sincredible. I saw the trailer a week ago and completely missed that it was filmed on the Island. Now that you mention it and I watch it again it seems so obvious…

For some reason Charlie thought it was filmed in Nova Scotia - and Rebecca didn’t correct him. At least they got the coast right. I’d never seen Charlie before. Seems he really hates leaving a chain of thought uninterrupted - is he always like that?
