There’s TED, the conference. And now there’s Ted, the airline.
The airline is United’s low-cost answer to Delta’a low-cost Song.
The name, apparently comes from United.
This effectively prevents me from starting a low-cost version of Reinvented. Unless I come up with another name. Perhaps Rein. Or Ven.

If that’s the derivation,
If that’s the derivation, they should have spelled it “…ted”. Anyway, I don’t think truncation was wise marketing. It makes me think “Does the plane fuselage lack a nose? Or pilots? Will the cabin have seats? Do I get to arrive as well as depart?”
