XSLT + CBC = RSS?

Peter Rukavina

I wonder if it would be possible to use XSLT to transform the local CBC website from HTML into an RSS feed?

Well, on first blush it would like it isn’t possible to easily do this, because the CBC’s HTML is so whacked out. I’m starting to realize why web standards are important!

Apache Cocoon has a import “generator” that supposedly transforms html into valid XHTML. You could then put your XSLT onto that pipeline to get your RSS.

(theoretically anyway)
