It’s amazing the things you can learn in the washrooms of the offices of The Old Farmer’s Almanac. For example, did you know that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, both Presidents of the United States, died on the same day in 1826? And, what’s more, that this day was July 4, 1826, 50 years to the day after the founding of the country. Amazing.

They were young cats when they created the USA. How old were they when the offed it.

Jefferson 83, Adams 90. James Monroe, of Monroe Doctrine and Monrovia, Liberia fame also died on July 4th, but in 1850.
Adams famously did not “outlive Jefferson,” though he nearly did.
Incidentally, Jefferson and Adams had lots to do with creating the US, but G.W. Bush is in charge of “offing” it.
