Kit Kat

I’m in a phase where I’m thinking that the Kit Kat may be the perfect chocolate bar. This happens to me about every 3 years or so. When I’m off the Kit Kat, I alternate back and forth between Skor and Laura Secord French Mint. And once in a blue moon I get a hankering for a Caramilk.

I offer my full endorsement of Kit Kat as the number one. I quite like the shocking new Chunky Kit Kat as well.

I am forced to disagree. I enjoy the classic Kit Kat. I attempted to eat a Chunky one, and I was overloaded with Kit Kat. What I liked about the Kit Kat was its slender physique and sublety. It was pratical to eat slowly one stick at a time.

I also love the french mint, but the Skor bar where I /do/ enjoy the flavour, gets stuck in my teeth in great gloms and I’m forced to go after it with a finger when I think nobody’s looking.

Kit Kat is good.

The Eatmore is one of those strange bars — perhaps the only one for me — that I enjoy every time I have it, but for which I have never, ever had a hankering.

Choco Bars past and might-a-lee missed: wig-wags.

Best bars:#1 — Crispy Crunch.

Honourable mentions — Mars and Butterfingers but only [as I found out later I am allergic to them] because they have pleasantly burned my throught like single malt whisky.

Best bar experiences: as a late 1960’s kid in Mississauga, my mother’s much younger sister had a job at the Neilson’s plant in Toronto. Friday night she brought a box of broken candy and I met the Crispy Crunch in its native form fresh from the wrapping machine.
