For people sitting on the fence deciding on whether to go with a green hybrid the price makes the decision too easy…stay with the gas until (maybe) the next time.

I like my 04 Prius. It’s like driving a video game! How many little cars can you accumulate (a representation of how much energy you recover from deceleration), how little braking can you get by with, and how high can you raise your MPG over time. Fun. My Prius cost $22,000, approximately, plus tax, licence, etc. It was worth every penny! My friends are jealous, too.

Downer: Lousy mileage during the first 5 minutes of driving from a cold start. If your average trip is 5 minutes or less and you let your engine get cold between trips, your mileage can drop into the mid-30 MPG or less.
