In the end there was nothing cooler than Barbra on a chicken eating a cake

Peter Rukavina

My friend Stephen B. MacInnis posted a work-in-progress a few weeks ago, a delightful painting that appeared laser-targeted to hit me in the my sense of humour pleasure centres.

So I pre-ordered the completed painting.

And Stephen delivered it today.

I cannot tell you how happy this painting makes me.

This is delightful! I worked with Stephen way back in 1984 as a stock boy at the old Ellis Brothers Save-Easy. Back then he would sometimes paint signs for store promos, but mostly I remember his seasonal murals that covered the plate glass windows at the front of the store. It was only years later that I realized the talented, famous artist Stephen MacInnis I’d been hearing about was the very same stock boy from way back.

I agree emphatically that this is a feel good painting. Stephen has been producing soul lifting pieces for years. And his framing skills are second to none.

I absolutely love the artwork by, Stephen, B. MacInnis. He is not only an Island gem but a gem of an artist.

It must feel really great for Stephen too to know that you wanted it before it was even finished.
