Apparently horse bridles have reins, not reigns. Who knew!
Sounds like a great afternoon. I have a history of allergic reactions to horses so tend to stay away. I do remember paying attention to the wagon driver at Orwell Corner and thinking that driving a horse-drawn wagon certainly looked more difficult than driving a car.
This is wonderful!
Regular crossword puzzle-doers find that reign/rein/rain is useful.
I have never been on a horse either. I'm afraid of their size, but riding a horse is on my bucket list. I was thinking about it just this morning, and then I checked your blog and you'd made this post. Strange how things like this happen sometimes. The universe sending me a sign perhaps? I'm glad you enjoyed your horse experience enough to want to go back for more!
