There is a vastness that can’t be contained”

Roger Ebert is a song from the alt-country band Clem Snide inspired by Ebert’s dying words, as his widow Chaz explains here.

You’re diving into some good music this week. Clem Snide just released an album of covers that’s really good. Give it a listen. Highlights: Don’t Think Twice and These Days. 👍🏻

One of my favourite Clem Snide songs is "Made for TV Movie." It's an odd mix of sweet and dark. I was fortunate to see Eef Barzelay at a small venue in Toronto once. I love the band! Thanks for reminding me.

Didn't know about the Roger Ebert song or the new covers album. They're now on my musical todo list.

While we're sharing the Clem Snide version of I'll Be Your Mirror is a favourite of mine.

It seems remarkable, given y’all, that I’d heretofore never heard of Clem Snide.
