We were trying to identify a path made by animals around our house last week. On Sunday afternoon, I saw a skunk heading from our neighbour's yard, across our yard and then on to somewhere else. I wasn't expecting it to be a skunk, mid-winter and mid-day strolling our yard.
The City of Charlottetown has a free skunk trapping program that I requested after smelling a couple of skunk sprays under our front vestibule. The company contracted to leave the (live) trap mentioned that it would be unlikely to trap a skunk at this time of year.
Luckily, so far at least, there have been no smells associated with the rogue skunk. Hoping it stays that way.
I don't know much about animal tracks, but they are not from a seal, surly or convivial.
