Annual Boxing Day Walk

Peter Rukavina

This year we expanded our terrain and walked all the way to Stratford. The new path along the Hillsborough Bridge is only half-completed — from Charlottetown to the span — but the way is passable until land on the other side. The 50 km/h winds added some resistance exercise on the way over, and blew us back home.

We used to walk the seawall in Vancouver on Boxing Day - getting up early to watch the king tide that usually occurs Boxing Day morning. But we've moved away from Vancouver and so today will have to find a new route for our tradition.

Doubtless ours will have less bluster and cold than the one you braved!
