What a lovely story - Tea ladies were still part of the system when I worked in the City at the end of the 1970's. They were so much more that the providers of tea and beverages - not only biscuits but razor blades, kleenex - all the little things that you might need but as Andrea said they offered more - a bit of love and humanity
