Crosswords

Peter Rukavina

Crossword puzzles have always confounded me. But it turns out that my problem was that I hadn’t lived long enough to drink in all the words required to tuck in far enough to be successful.

Now it seems I have. At least at the Tuesday level.

Which crossword app do you use? I've been using Shortyz (http://www.kebernet.net/Home/projects/shortyz).

I would also recommend http://www.avxword.com/ for quality (paid) weekly crosswords.

My gateway drug was the Daily Mini on the New York Times website. That led me to install the NYT Android app, and I’m closing in on the “subscribe to keep using” end of the free trial.

Before that it was just the occasional En Route magazine crossword.
