DIY Dog Washing at Pet Valu

My friend Carol turned me on to the fact that Pet Valu, in the Smitty’s Plaza in Charlottetown, has a do-it-yourself dog washing station.

For $10, you get access to a tub (at chest height), shampoo, towels, a dryer, grooming tools and treats.

There’s no time limit. What a great alternative to washing Ethan at home in the bathtub!

Ethan’s first action post-bath was to run around the back yard and get really dirty.

This special enclosure Pet Valu dog washing site is absolutely terrific especially during mud season on PEI. And they have two tubs too so if you have 2 pooches both can be done by a couple simultaneously. Body length aprons are provided so when the inevitable dog shake happens you don't get soaked. Highly recommended!

I should have spent more time with the dryer; our house smells too much like wet dog now.

That is awesome Peter! I think the height of the tub really makes it worth while!

As a sometimes-Ethan-washer, you know this terrain better than most!
