Google Reader Readable Extension

Olle sent me to the useful How to setup Google Chrome a few days ago. Which, in turn, sent me to Google Reader Readable extension. The extension transforms the visual cacophony that is:

Into the calm simplicity that is:

Nothing to set up. No changes to Google Reader required. It’s the most useful of the myriad Google Chrome extensions I’ve come across.

Lately I’ve found myself doing almost all my blog reading on my phone with the NetNewsWire app. It helpfully uses Google Reader to sync which articles I’ve read across my universe, too.

If you want to try something even less visually distracting, give http://www.goodbits.co (which I’m a part of). It’s a reboot of Reader and also brings in links from Twitter.

I see you are a heavy user of folders. Our sections aren’t quite there yet, although everything is keyboard navigable. I would love to hear any feedback you have!

Just curious why Goodbits.co needs access to my Google Contacts. I understand needing Google Reader access, but I’m not enthusiastic about opening a pipe to my contacts to you, especially without elaboration as to why.
