Embedding OpenStreetMaps

I’ve long looked for an easy way to drop OpenStreetMap maps into another site, and although there are myriad “under the hood” ways of doing this none of them ever had the “embed” ease-of-use of sticking a Google Map on a page. Here’s Charlottetown, for example:

Actually those details are a bit off — but if you click on the Export tab when on OSM then you get embed-able HTML

Thanks, Bob — had no idea that OSM had this ability “native” now!

I just zoomed in and noticed they have Rufus & Rory’s Finer Diner listed. I’m quite impressed that they’re so current.

Embedding OpenStreetMap in a web site is a great leap forward — thanks for this, Peter. By the way, the detail is not provided by them — it’s provided by us (the multiple users of OpenStreetMap). I was in Singapore last month, and the city detail on OpenStreetMap was truly amazing (Cambodia, not so much!)
