Apparently a “looking glass” is a mirror. I went 42 years thinking it was another name for “magnifying glass.”
I guess I wasn’t paying attention to Alice in Wonderland — I simply assumed that Alice looked through her magnifying glass and that’s where she saw all those tiny rabbits.
