Gone to Casa Mia in my Mind

Big news on the Casa Mia front this week is that, starting Friday, they’ll be open for supper, with a new menu cooked in the new kitchen that’s been under construction all spring long. You can get a preview of what to expect by looking at the new menu board out front as you walk by.

Lesser news, although still cool if you’re an RSS geek, is the Casa Mia Daily Specials RSS Feed. Every morning, as soon as the Daily Specials Email goes out, the RSS feed gets updated too.

Just wanted to mention, perhaps I’m doing something wrong.. but the link for RSS simply goes to the signup page for email notifications.. the RSS feed works, but all it gives are dates.. and the dates just go to the sign up page.. I don’t want the emails, just the RSS feed :P

Hey Peter,

I actually did have that right.. I guess the problem arises with the aggregator I use, see I use firefox and it’s ‘live bookmarks’, so it doesn’t go into the details of the feed, when I click on the date which you use as the title, it goes to the www.casamiamail.com, I believe I’d have to use google reader or another one in order to take advantage of the RSS.

I guess it comes down to the fact each day doesn’t have a page to link to, so that’s all the live bookmarks sees.

Anyhow, if I use bloglines or google reader.. it’s fine.. so I’ll have to use that :-)

Thank you sir :P

@Len, thanks for your tenacity. I’ve taken steps to enhance the RSS feed so that each day’s specials now have a unique URL, so you should find that your Firefox Live Bookmarks approach to reading the feed now works as you think it should. I welcome any additional feedback.

Yep.. you got it.. works great now :-).. I’ve switched to google reader anyhow, as I’ve been meaning to for quite some time, so either or now works :)

Have a good one!
