This morning I crossed the divide from “places in Charlottetown that make allowances for cappuccino, but don’t really do it all that well” into “places in Charlottetown that snear at the very mention of anything that’s not regular coffee.”
They don’t actually serve cappuccino at all at Chambers Restaurant and Bar in The Charlottetown Hotel. Their english muffin, however, is perfectly acceptable.

This sounds much more like
This sounds much more like the Charlottetown I remember (with some affection). I bet they also serve tea from pots that have been boiling for a couple of hours.
Saturday evening our little
Saturday evening our little family had dinner at the Carvery; Her birthday (same kitchen as Chambers). I’d buy the chef a steak dinner & bottle of wine if he’d let me in on the secret of his asparagus.
If you ask, they do not react badly and will boil water for tea and make it the way it should be. And they’ll put it in a ceramic pot. Only down-side is that Red Rose (dilute vinegar & rusty nails) is their only orange pekoe - I had their earl grey (6.5 out of 10 — which puts them in the top 1% in PEI for tea). I’m sorta glad they don’t fuss with cappuccino. Places that serve cappuccino rarely get as much as 2/10 for their tea.
