100 Prince Street Turns Blue

Peter Rukavina

Well, it was blue before. But now it’s Blue:

100 Prince Street

Here’s what it looked like when it was halfway to full Blueness:

100 Prince Street mid-Paint Job

Now we don’t have to walk around the neighbourhood in shame because of our peeling paint! All credit goes to [[Catherine]] for the excellent colour scheme; I don’t have the “imagining little paint chips painted over an entire house” gene, so we had to do this on faith. It worked out (was there ever any doubt?).

What I always find interesting are the names that the paint company gives the colors. I’m guessing Horizon Blue or perhaps Gulf Blue?

I think your phone camera let you down.
The house is bluer than that. And spectacular - it looks really terrific.

Very nice. If you were Hindi that blue would signal you as high caste, I think. The houses ringing the fortress in Jodhpur are blue…until you get about as far from the wals to as the weakest canon balls fly, the guidebook said. Anyway, no surprise that Catherine is a great color schemer.

Ann is right — the house is bluer than the photo suggests. I took it near sunset, which distorted the true extent of the blueness. I’ll take another photo shortly.
