Clock to fall to wrecker’s ball?

I’m just off the phone with a reporter at The Guardian who tells me that his source at the Bank of Montreal says that their inoperable clock is being taken down within 90 days. What horrors have we wrought?

I hope they’ll have the sense at least to time the wrecking ball to collide at 6:38.

I fear you have triggered the epicentre of timelessness! Check you watch as you walk by the spot to see if your second hand hesitates.

Charlottetown’s only town clock is going to come down, after not working for months. Maybe it’s time for the city to build a town clock… Or hang one from City Hall.

City Hall does have a massive sundial on its tower…

…and on PEI needing to know the time at night or when it is cloudy is vanity and indeed soon to be barred by the Ministry of the Environment or Business Development.

Really, who needs a clock in Ch’town? The motto of Charlottetown should be “It’s always time for Anne” rendering watches and clocks useless.

Well the clock deal is a good thing for those anne tourists, cause well once they leave confederation center, right away they see the giant clock and you can just see the sheer disapointment in their eyes when they realize that it is incorrect…someone should kick up a stink or sumfin to get the clock saved..for those poor people like myself who never have a watch on.
