Mary Frann

Peter Rukavina

I didn’t know that Mary Frann had died. She played Bob Newhart’s wife on Newhart.

Of course, Peter, as a fan of WKRP, you’ll remember Mary Frann’s work as the producer of “Gotta Dance,” the disco show that corrupts Johnny Fever (turning him into Rip Tide — the Ripper).

“Sometimes you’ve just… gotta dance.”

Some of Howard Hesseman’s finest work.

Wow! Neither did I, and such a fan I am. I’ll always remember Dick (Bob) saying to his wife Emily (Suzanne Pleshette) in the final episode when he awoke: “…ever consider wearing more sweaters?”. What a lady :) BTW, Pleshette married Tom Poston (George Utley) last year.

I saw Mary in the movie NASHVILLE REBEL back in 1967. I did not know until recently that she had passed away. I am so sorry. She was a fine actress and a very pretty lady.
Respectfully,
Jerry
