There is some excessive violence with Spidey and the Green Goblin, that gets rougher and goes longer than one would want a fight scene to last -- but overall, the movie is good. Toby McGuire was in Oprah, talking about real-life heroes. He was touched. I believe both the FDNY and NYPD were underestimated in both movies. I can actually tell the difference between real and fictional firefighters, police, and other everyday heroes. The secret is that they wear/bring more equipment with them just in case and make mistakes. I wonder what Toby's reaction to 9/11/01 was. The movies shouldn't have been shown after this event, since they took place at Manhattan/New York City and are about heroism. That's just wrong! Ha! They didn’t show any evidence of 9/11 or the Twin Towers in the movies, such as the FDNY logo, the WTC site, or where the towers once stood/were seen. However, they did show Lower/Downtown Manhattan, which is next to it. I wonder if the video game actually looks/is similar to the real city. Could you visit the WTC site in the game? I don't think the reaction in the movies is realistic. The people’s reaction in the movies should be similar to that of the audience's. There should be medical services/hospitals/ambulances and paramedics in the movies. Doesn't mean it had been 3 years after the terrorist attack, doesn't mean the FDNY's and NYPD's heroism should be forgotten. Because of 9/11, some kids think heroes don’t have to be supernatural like Spiderman. Their impression on heroism already changed. The moral in the part in the second movie when Peter’s grandmother said that there is a hero in all of us (mentioned in Oprah) was already very obvious to me, especially after 9/11 and after all those songs were written. In other words, anybody can be a hero. Besides the equipment mistake and people's reaction in the movies, another flaw I found was the omission/missing of Spiderman's and his web's shadow on the buildings by the sunlight as he swings between the buildings. The kinds of crimes in the movies don’t really occur often in the real NYC (if you watched NYPD 24/7). Why were those hi-tech weapons in the movies always made in NY? Spidey/Peter should give silk clothing as his friends' birthday present.

Actually, there was evidence of the WTC towers in the first movie. There was a reflection of the towers on Spiderman's eyes, but it seemed like a later time than the time he's in. His position does not match the reflection. To match it, he should be on top of the Statue of Liberty or somewhere on the Hudson River or New Jersey. The things in the reflection don't seem to move. Also, at the end, when he climbs to the top point of a possibly unidentified/made-up tower, I spotted the Twin Towers on the background as the camera revolves around him. 7 WTC seemed to be missing. The FDNY logo wasn't shown clearly. I think there were two same fire rigs/trucks (Ladder 86) in the movie. They most likely worked on the movie before 9/11. Oops/sorry, from my last comment, not his grandmother, his aunt. One movie that has a realistic reaction of the people was Titanic, for it did happen.
