Working for Free

I was quite happy with the way my Working for Free talk went this morning: there was a good 15 minutes of discussion afterwards, and several good conversations after the fact. You can see my slides as a PDF.

I opened the talk with Raise the Dead of Wintertime by Allan Rankin. I dare say it was probably the first use of an Allan Rankin song in a conference of European technologists.

I missed your talk, so I’m happy to see your slides here. Looking forward to getting the full benefit in the video!
Best, Anne
(who enjoyed the Doris Lessing book, you mentioned in a reboot comment, thanks!)

Hi Peter! For sure liked your talk @ Reboot. We did some free stuff last year for several surf-organizations like http://www.hsa.nl (Dutch Surfing Ass.). Gives indeed room for some trying-out and developing new stuff in a public testing area. And those surfdudes don’t even have money for long pants ;)

Gave a lot of goodwill in the surfcommunity.

Looking forward to seeing another enthousiastic story of yourself next year in Copenhagen!

Cheers,
Michiel
