Burlington

It’s rare to find a place that interprets tacos so inventively, so we were happy to stumble across Burro right next door to our new favourite coffee place in Burlington.

Burro doesn’t sell tacos in the “Olde El Paso” style–shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese–but rather more simple concoctions with fewer ingredients. I had the spicy brussels sprout; Catherine and Oliver shared the chipotle sweet potato and the jerk pork; all were very good.

The first bookstore I can remember from my childhood, this venerable institution is still there, in the same place and format, still going strong.

Truly a browser’s bookstore, I found several books on the shelves that I didn’t expect to find.

And all these years later I still can’t figure out how the complicated inside arrangement of stairs and balconies works.
