2015 Leaders Debate on Education

On April 11, 2015, as part of its 62nd Annual General Meeting, the PEI Home and School Federation sponsored a “Leaders Debate on Education” at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel. Debating were Peter Bevan-Baker, leader of the Green Party; Rob Lantz, leader of the PC Party; Hon. H. Wade MacLauchlan, leader of the Liberal Party; and Mike Redmond, leader of the NDP. Debate moderator was Marion Murphy and timekeeper was Heather Mullen. Leaders were given 2 minutes each to make an opening statement, and then were asked 11 questions, with each leader given 1 minute to respond to each. At the end of the questions, leaders were allowed a 4 minute closing statement. Questions for the debate were collaboratively developed by the parents, guardians, teachers, administrators and staff of the PEI Home and School Federation earlier that morning.
