In 2008 I created OpenCorporations.org, a tool for exploring provincial and federal corporate registration details for companies on Prince Edward Island. The site later got renamed ClosedCorporations.org after the province took moves to prevent access to the underlying data (this archived page has more details).
As a result, the data was frozen as of November 19, 2008, and while it’s an interesting snapshot of PEI corporate data from a generation ago, making it available through a searchable web interface is no longer a priority.
The underlying data, however, is still available should you wish to download it into your own tools:
- corporations.csv is a CSV file of the 6,590 provincially-registered PEI corporations active as of November 19, 2008.
- officers.csv is a related file of the 16,222 officers of those corporations, as of the same date.
The two CSV files are related by the “regnumber” field.
