Some Websites Refuse to Die

Peter Rukavina

Proof that the web is stickier than we think: this page on CBC.ca is almost 8 years old. For eight years, it’s contained the misinformation that I am “Peter Rukavina, owner of Island Media.” I have no idea where they got that. This was one of the first pages on CBC’s website to include RealAudio content.

Highlights:
“I got a Pentium 100!”
“For $2000.00 you can buy a righter”
“Stereo audio is 10 megs per minute, you can’t transfer that over the internet”
“2 Speed CD roms and 14.4 Modems is the average.”
“Well Peter maybe you and I are just a little out of date.”

Peter you were right. CDs are great, but you can not store all the information that every one wants on one CD. You always had faith in the internet. :)

Very interesting debate. Hard to believe this was only 8 years ago…
