Portuguese here we come...

Peter Rukavina

I would like to suggest that we change the official language of Prince Edward Island to Portuguese: imagine being able to tell people you live in a place called Ilha Príncipe Eduardo.

By the way, that is another nice thing about being Nova Scotian - the name of your place of the heart is already cool. So cool that, even, though PEI was a better place to see the total eclipse of the sun in 1973 so so, Carly Simon and Mick Jagger sang about Warren Beatty going to Nova Scotia to watch it in “You’re So Vain”. Interestingly, it is probably accurate as Beatty was a child or grandchild of Nova Scotia. Related to Shirley McLean, he has many Cape Breton McLean counsins. A friend was taught in high school by a first cousin.
