He can bring the perspective of two ‘solitudes’ to the American people.

Much like Trudeau (French papa, English mama) or Mulroney (English/Irish papa, French mama) did to bridge the gap in Canada.

Obama is part Kenyan, part American and raised by his mother’s mother after papa departed.

Here’s hoping it shows the importance of ‘family’ in the rearing of a young man after papa’s gone.
