The new iMac has landed...

An email from Dave arrived this morning with no body, just a subject:



The “it” is the new iMac from Apple. Having other business with Dave, I rushed right over to take a look. And it was there. As were a motely collection of geekly ruffians, pictured below:



General concensus was that it’s bigger than we all thought it was going to be. I could only stay 10 minutes lest I catch some sort of coding virus.

I got that email too. While I do appear in the photo, my face is obscured (only my distinctive brown cords could identify me. By the way, ‘geekly’ is the geekiest word ever.

Agreed that it was a little larger than expected. I’ve been looking at DVD-burners (included in the high-level iMac) lately for backup purposes, and they are selling at the future shop for around $800 Cdn. A comparable LCD panel runs at least $600 Cnd. This does chip away at the $2899 Cnd price of iMac.
