Peter Rukavina

Starting August 7th with Casablanca you can watch movies outside under the moon at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Details at Moonlight Marquee. Cool. Link from Rob.

Apparently Mars is going to be easy to see in the next couple of months as well, but not as spectacular as the hoax e-mail that is circulating. Still it may be worth checking it out while you are out at the theatre.

Here is a link so some info on Mars, the claims in the e-mail, etc.

Attention! Citizens of the Universe! The Martians are coming!

Let’s try that again. A couple of days ago I received an e-mail that talked about Mars coming so close to the Earth that it would be as big as the moon. I decided to google it because it seemed fishy to me. Sure enough, it turns out the claim is false, but you might still be able to see Mars while you are out looking at the stars after your movie because it will be closer to the Earth than usual. Here is a link describing the hoax.

I got the code word weirdo in the “Are You Human?” category.
