Movies at The Oxford

Peter Rukavina

Is there a better room to watch movies in than The Oxford in Halifax? One of the last surviving un-multiplexed theatres. Here to see The Lady in the Van.

I recently went there to see Brooklyn with my husband and university-attending daughters--a rarity in itself. The venue made a spectacular movie all that more amazing. It brought back memories of the old Capitol theatre on Central Street in Summerside before it was divided in two. Sadly, Cineplex just isn't the same.
