I bought the single when it came out (different cover) and still have it somewhere. I thought it was the acme of clever alternative. The past is not always pretty. “I smoke my tea in the bed.”

I didn’t realize BB Gabor was dead - I used to listen to his album all the time back when there was still vinyl in the world. It was weird to listen to these avant garde East European pop reactionary lyrics: “There’s things in life other than money - hunger, poverty and misery”
