Michael Moore

Peter Rukavina

If you can find the raw video of Michael Moore’s question and answer session post-Oscar, watch it. He’s a well-spoken advocate of ideas that run contrary to just about anything you’ll see and hear on CNN.

His website is great. You know, it is interesting that while China, Germany and Russia all are against the war, it is the French that get all the fun made of them - as it ever was…

I agree. The movie was actually quite entertaining, given the subject matter at hand…

I especially liked his use of Joey Ramone’s incredible version of “It’s a wonderful world” in conjunction with everything that the US (and many other western countries - Moore omits this though) has done militarily since the Second World War. I guess looking back at the past with tinted glasses can do this - understanding through history, the reasoning for these actions makes it understandable but sometimes only raises more questions.

I also noticed that Moore omitted mention of rumours that Saddam Hussein may have been brought to power through his involvement with the CIA while in Egypt during the 1960’s, supposedly funded by US due to his brutal opposition toward Iraqi communists who were gaining power at the time.
