KCRW

Peter Rukavina

Let me note, for the record, that KCRW is an excellent radio station. I’ve been listening to their web stream almost constantly for the past week.

Thanks for the pointer, Peter. I’ve listened to it for years, but haven’t checked in for a long time. I would strongly recommend Morning Becomes Eclectic, a show where artists like Josh Ritter, Jack Johnson, Radiohead and Ben harper play live in studio. A large archive (at least a couple of years) is available via streaming.

“Morning Becomes Eclectic” is a great show. NPR thinks so too. They recently began broadcasting a best-of-the-week show called “Becomes Eclectic” on Sunday night to all of its NPR stations.

And, if you really love it, and hate the RealAudio format it’s archived in, they rebroadcast the morning show (afternoon for East coast) in MP3 stream on their music stream at just the time I cook supper (or when the East coasters are finishing dishes).
