Short of ironing my shirts on those weeks I’m on the job in New Hampshire—a habit I learned from brother Johnny—I have never been an ironer. And I’ve absolutely never ironed pillow cases. But when life hands you entropy, you fight back with every bit of negentropy in your arsenal.

Peter, I don't think I have
Peter, I don't think I have ironed pillow cases in at least 20 years. I used to, but then once I started using blend fabric cases, they came out of the dryer in a pretty good condition. And once they are on the bed, they get crinkly anyway. I figured it was time to stop. Other people's moms (not mine) ironed sheets. Sometimes towels. Isn't there a better thing to do?
