It was a problem on the ISN/Eastlink side of the connection from 84 Fitzroy Street to the Hardware Building on Kent Street associated with migration out of that facility and into Eastlink’s.

It is all part of the process of ISN being acquired by Eastlink. ISN’s server room is being migrated to Eastlink’s facilities. Gear is moving around, things are being replaced. Here at the slicedome we’re having to completely switch switch fiber lines. We’re midstream and the switch should be complete in the next few weeks.
As corporate customers we’ve been treated very well by Eastlink during this whole process. The hardware issue affecting our connection this past week was a rare one and they acted quickly to sort it all out. They seem to know their stuff.
