Citibank slow to clarify dubious email?

Peter Rukavina

Hard-hitting CBC News is reporting at this hour Citibank slow to clarify dubious email.

You know it’s a slow news day when the weight of the CBC’s journalism is applied to investigating one of the perhaps seventy-five gazzillion “send us your password” scam emails that circulate around the world hourly.

You know you live in a small place when you make snide comments that you think nobody will ever read about a news story only to have the news story’s reporter make snide comments back at you. I bet you Knowlton never had to deal with any of this.

Isn’t this the time of the week when traditionally the reporters and the people they cover retire to the local watering hole?

You’re wrong, Peter. Stories like this reflect well on Charlottetown: When Santa Clara, Calif., was the size Charlottetown is today, why, the typical slow-day news story would have been about Mrs. Jones’ cat up a tree. A story about e-mail shows your high-tech. Though now you’ve got me wondering what’s happening with the Charlottetown cats and why your local media monopoly doesn’t want us to know about it. That may be the real story.
