Big Solar Panels in Charlottetown

They’ve been installing big solar panels on the roof of the Jean Canfield Building in [[Charlottetown]] all week long. They started with the ironwork, and today they started hoisting up the actual panels:

I’m curious what prompted this last minute addition to the building especially since other features in the original plans were cut due to cost.

Isn’t that the Sean Murphy Legacy Building ?

Wouldn’t it have been much more environmentally friendly to re-purpose the Dominion Building instead of building another footprint on the landscape? Just a few thoughts for those wishing to build their legacy…
