They’ve been installing big solar panels on the roof of the Jean Canfield Building in Charlottetown all week long. They started with the ironwork, and today they started hoisting up the actual panels:

I’m curious what prompted this last minute addition to the building especially since other features in the original plans were cut due to cost.
My guess would be Jamie Ballum… Alternative energy is the wave of the future, don’t you know…
Isn’t that the Sean Murphy Legacy Building ?
Wouldn’t it have been much more environmentally friendly to re-purpose the Dominion Building instead of building another footprint on the landscape? Just a few thoughts for those wishing to build their legacy…
