Beds” vs. “Homes”

We should stop talking about “residential beds” for people with disabilities and instead talk of “homes,” like we do for everyone else.

We need both (Beds and Homes) so Need to be equal to everyone because Everyone has a different approach for beds and they also need a home to live because of their disability.

I was dismayed, when I heard the term residential beds being used.
I feel the term residence or home is appropriate ,as it is for all citizens of PEI.

They talk about housing toward the end, but that's not good enough. Should be in the title, and should be the policy priority. It's the same here in the U.S. If you're talking about institutionalization, you're talking about "beds." Psychiatric wards are beds, prisons are beds, group homes for disabled people are beds. Their bias is showing, both with the leaders and with the journalists. The term further marginalizes already marginalized people. Oof.
