The U.S. departure lounge at YOW rivals the one at YHZ for its lack of facilities: there’s a micro-Tim Hortons, a newsstand, and a moribund bar with a takeaway food kiosk attached.
The flight took off almost an hour late. The putative reason, given by the gate agent, was that the ground crew had “pushed the button for heat instead of cool,” resulting in a place that was too hot to be boarded. Once the plane cooled things proceeded quickly and there were no further delays.
The approach into Boston Logan was shrouded in fog until just before we landed. Deplaning was efficient and I was on my way to the rental car center about 10 minutes after we arrived at the gate.
