The Beauty of the North Shore

I had the pleasure of a cruise up the Southwest River, out New London Bay, and around to the ocean off Cape Tryon Light this afternoon. Wow. I’ve been working with the L.M. Montgomery Land Trust for almost 15 years now, and it took until today to discover that the land we’re working to preserve is even more beautiful from the sea.

Here’s some photos I took along the way, starting with a view from land of a portion of the first parcel of land the Trust preserved back in 1994 near Cape Tryon.

(If you’d like to help us in our work to preserve this land from development, I encourage you to make a donation: just visit our website and click Donate Now).

Beautiful, beautiful pictures. I love the Island so much; I can’t wait to get back home and live there again.
