Hi Peter,

I do know where my polling station is, but decided to try typing in my address anyway because I had difficulty another time on this site. Any idea why my address won’t work? I tried various combinations of Route 246 and South Melville Road and Desable, but nothing works.
Just curious. Do I not really exist?

Sandy — the PEI Civic Address System is nothing if not arcane. Your road name is, I suspect, “SOUTH MELVILLE RD — RTE 246”.

The elections page with station lookup;
http://www.electionspei.ca/ple…

could have made good use of your AjaxLookup script.
Many civic addresses are not stored as one would expect.
Leaving you with nothing.

You are correct, Ron — the existing code is not perfect, and the Ajax code, in fact, was developed to eventually take its place.
