Further Evidence in Rogers Automobile Case”

From The Guardian, 100 years ago today in 1916, reporting on the “Rogers Case,” wherein W.K. Rogers was charged with “illegally operating an automobile on July 9th.”

WK Rogers and his automobile clearly had numerous run-ins with the authorities. Family lore has it that he once put notice in the newspaper that he would be using his automobile for war recruiting on a prohibited day. His advocacy of the automobile led to him being referred to as "Good Roads Rogers".
